The Pokémon Company International has revealed several more cards for the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO special expansion. The first wave of expansion-related products will be available to purchase from July 1st. The Japanese equivalent subset, which will feature similar cards, will be released in Japan on June 17th.

Niantic has announced new social features to help bring people together to enjoy Pokémon GO, new bonuses for participating in local raid battles, and changes to items in the in-game shop. The Japanese jewelers U-TREASURE, who produce "authentic character-based jewelry for adults," released new jewelry in their Pokémon line earlier this week with necklace and ring designs featuring "the adorable charm of the Sleeping Pokémon, Snorlax,", complete with a 360-degree recreation of its stomach. Pokémon Café ReMix has announced that the game has reached a total of 12 million downloads on both the Nintendo Switch version and mobile version. To commemorate this milestone, a special 10-day Daily Stamp will be available that lets players receive a total of 32,000 Golden acorns when they log-in to their game from May 18th, at 3:00pm JST, to June 17th, at 2:59pm JST.

The first episode of the three-episode animated series, Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, based on Pokémon Legends: Arceus and set in the Hisui region is now available on the official Pokémon Youtube channel and Pokémon TV. It is titled "Onto the Icy Blue". The second episode will be released on June 8th. The series is being produced by The Pokémon Company International in collaboration with WIT STUDIO.

Late last week, The Pokémon Company announced a new Pokémon Center location on their website. This new location will be in the vibrant Japanese tropical island chain of Okinawa, on the first floor of the Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom, a mall with four floors and varied attractions, such as "shops, restaurants, a movie theatre, and even an aquarium."

This update will allow recently released Pokémon titles, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, to be mutually compatible to past games Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, and Pokémon GO.

The Pokémon Company International has announced that the 25th season of the long-running Pokémon animated series will be known as Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series when it sees its international release later this year. The series will continue to follow Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu, as well as Goh and Chloe, as they embark on their latest adventures in the Pokémon world. For viewers in the United States, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series will premiere on Netflix later this year.

The 2022 edition of the Pokémon GO Water Festival event has begun, and will be running through until May 20th, at 8:00 p.m. local time. In this event, Lapras wearing a scarf, Dewpider, Araquanid, the Legendary Pokémon Tapu Fini, and Shiny Binacle will all be making their Pokémon GO debuts. New Water Festival Scarf avatar items will also be available in the in-game shop during and after the event.

Niantic has announced details for the in-person Pokémon GO Fest 2022 event that will be held in two locations in Sapporo, Japan, from August 5th to August 7th. During the event dates, all Trainers in Sapporo will have access to special Pokémon GO Fest 2022 raids, including Cresselia and Darkrai in five-star raids.

Pokémon Masters EX is putting a spotlight on Sinnoh's Elite Four with the game's latest Solo Event and Spotlight Scouts. Solo Event: Sinnoh Elite Four Assemble, and associated Spotlight Scouts, will be running through until May 26th. Cabalion's Legendary Arena and the Battle Villa will both also be available until May 23rd.
